Hey!
This week in New York City asks two existential questions: how good a singer are you, and how good is your dog as a wingman?
You'll get both answers on Wednesday. General Knowledge Trivia: Points 4 Pups Singles Night at The Ale House in Hoboken lets your dog score extra points, and Karaoke Cocktail Club at Barrow's Intense Tasting Room in Industry City puts the mic in your hand. After that, it's smooth sailing.
Barrow's keeps the laughs going with the I Love Funny People Comedy Show on Thursday and the free Holy Hand Grenade Comedy Show on Saturday night.
If you're feeling artistic, Paint With Pups! at Le Doggie Cool in Williamsburg on Saturday makes your dog the subject. If you'd rather wander, Paws in the City Vol. 3 at NYC Pet marks National Pet Store Day with a weekend pop-up on Graham Ave, where new pet brands share the space with local artists.
Sunday brings the Social Paws End-of-Summer Pup Picnic in Central Park, with pupcakes and a Fi ball pit. And if your dog was born this month, the Yappy Birthday Bash for September Pups at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Park Slope is their party.
Beyond that, there's Puppy Pilates in SoHo on Saturday, Puppy Yoga near Bryant Park on Sunday, and National Drink Beer Day at Avoca on Monday.
Whatever you and your dog are in the mood for, New York has it covered.

Wednesday September 23th

General Knowledge Trivia: Points 4 Pups Singles Night @ The Ale House, on Wed, 23 Sep, 19:30–21:00
Five rounds of trivia at a Hoboken tavern, and singles night turns every table into an easy way to meet the neighborhood. Your dog scores extra points and gets special treats, so they're the teammate everyone else wishes they'd brought.

Flight Night @ KCBC Brewery, on Wed, 23 Sep, 16:00–23:00
On Wednesdays, $10 flights at this Bushwick taproom let you work through the tap list without committing to a full pour. The staff say outright that they love dogs, so your dog is a regular here, not a guest they put up with.

Karaoke Cocktail Club @ Barrow's Intense Tasting Room, on Wed, 23 Sep, 19:00
Karaoke night in an Industry City tasting room, with seasonal craft cocktails, your friends taking turns on the mic, and your dog in the crowd for every song. Belt out your big number, then wind down together by the fire pit on a cool fall night, because a night out with your friends doesn't have to mean leaving your dog at home.
Thursday September 24th

I Love Funny People Comedy Show @ Barrow's Intense Tasting Room, on Thu, 24 Sep, 19:00–21:00
It's a Thursday night of stand-up in an Industry City tasting room, with ginger liqueur cocktails and a room full of people who came to laugh. Your dog gets a seat at the show too, so your big night out with friends comes with your favorite plus-one.

Trainer Led Puppy Socialization (Puppy Party) @ JustFoodForDogs, on Thu, 24 Sep, 18:30–19:30
Experienced trainers run a free Thursday evening puppy session at the Upper West Side JustFoodForDogs. Your puppy gets real time with other puppies in a controlled environment for building confidence, which matters at an age when most social outlets are still off-limits.
Friday September 25th

Bark & Brew Fridays @ Good Girl, on Fri, 25 Sep, 10:00–14:00
Every Friday, Bark & Brew's coffee cart sets up inside Good Girl, a Park Slope grocer, with espresso drinks, fresh-baked goods and fresh meals. Your dog gets a Barkaccino, whipped cream topped with a homemade dog treat, so the Friday coffee run becomes a date for two.

Paws and Pints @ Sixpoint Brewery Brookfield Place, on Fri, 25 Sep, 17:00
Friday night in the Sixpoint beer garden at Brookfield Place means cold pints and a crowd starting the weekend early. Your dog gets free pup cups and dog treats, so happy hour is a round for both of you.
Saturday September 26th

Paws in the City Vol. 3 @ NYC Pet, on Sat, 26 Sep and Sun, 27 Sep, 11:00–17:00
NYC Pet marks National Pet Store Day with a two-day pop-up on Graham Ave, where pet brands share the space with local artists, makers, food and drinks. Walk the stalls with your dog, pick out something new for them, and meet the Williamsburg neighbors who shop the same way you do.

Puppy Pilates with Social Tees Animal Rescue @ ModernHaus SoHo, on Sat, 26 Sep, 13:30–15:00
A beginner Pilates class on the ModernHaus SoHo rooftop, followed by mimosas and wide-open views of the city. You spend the class and the playtime after it with adoptable dogs from Social Tees, and your ticket supports the rescue's work finding them homes.

Movie: Ratatouille @ Rooftop Cinema Club, on Sat, 26 Sep, 13:00
A Saturday matinee of Ratatouille on an open-air Midtown rooftop, with the skyline standing in for Paris. It's a Wooftop screening, so your dog settles in beside you for the whole film and you get a movie date with your favorite seat partner.

Gather on Vernon Community Street Festival @ Vernon Blvd, Astoria, on Sat, 26 Sep, 12:00–17:00
Vernon Blvd and the Astoria waterfront fill up with makers and bakers, murals, live art and a DJ dance party in the street. The organizers invite your dog to a short film screening at Château Le Woof, and the rest of the day is yours to explore together along the water.

Paint With Pups! @ Le Doggie Cool, on Sat, 26 Sep, 13:00–15:00
A guided painting afternoon at a Williamsburg dog café, where the dogs themselves are the subject. You paint pups while you hang out with the dogs in the room, so you're never short on inspiration or company.

Holy Hand Grenade Comedy Show @ Barrow's Intense Tasting Room, on Sat, 26 Sep, 19:00
A free Saturday night of stand-up in an Industry City tasting room, with a lineup of NYC comedians and ginger liqueur cocktails at the bar. Your dog is part of the crowd, so a Saturday night out with your friends doesn't need a dog sitter.
Sunday September 27th

Social Paws End-of-Summer Pup Picnic @ Central Park, on Sun, 27 Sep, 14:00–16:00
A slow Sunday afternoon on a Central Park lawn with the Social Paws community, with blankets down and frisbees out. Your dog gets Bear & The Rat pupcakes, pup cups and a Fi ball pit, and you get an easy afternoon of meeting other dog people.

Woof Gang in Park Slope throws a party for every dog with a September birthday, with treats, games and full birthday energy. If your dog was born this month, this is their day to be celebrated alongside other birthday pups, and your day to take all the photos.

Puppy Yoga @ 435 5th Ave, on Sun, 27 Sep, 13:00–14:15
A 75-minute yoga class in a sixth-floor studio a few minutes from Bryant Park, run by Puppy Yoga USA. The puppies share the room with you for the whole class, so you get your stretch in and walk out lighter than you came in.

Canine Styles @ the Lexington Avenue Street Festival, on Sun, 27 Sep, 10:00–18:00
Canine Styles, NYC's original dog boutique since 1959, sets up at 81st and Lex for the street festival with one-day savings on its signature collections. With fall on the way, walk the fair with your dog and find their next signature look before the cold weather starts.
Monday September 28th

National Drink Beer Day @ Avoca, on Mon, 28 Sep, 11:00
This Upper East Side neighborhood bar marks National Drink Beer Day with a lineup of craft brews and a back patio its regulars call a lovely place to hang out. Your dog gets a place at the table too, so a Monday beer with friends includes your best friend.
Tuesday September 29th

Spritzing with The Stars @ Sojourn Social, on Tue, 29 Sep, 19:30
Sojourn Social turns Tuesday nights into a Dancing With The Stars watch party at its Upper East Side bar, with themed food and drinks for every episode. The bar calls it "barking with the stars," and your dog gets a seat at the party, so Tuesday night is a standing date with your friends and your dog.

Singles trivia, karaoke, two comedy nights, a pop-up on Graham Ave, a Central Park picnic, and a September birthday bash. Your dog has a full week ahead, so get out there and fill the calendar.
And if something's been on your mind about your pup, hit reply and send it in. It might be the next question we take to an expert.
