Hey!

Some dogs were born for the runway, and some would rather heckle from under the table.

New York has room for both this week. Fall weather is settling in, and a lot of the calendar comes down to taking the stage or finding a good seat while someone else does.

If you've got a song in you, there's Karaoke Cocktail Club at Barrow's Intense Tasting Room on Wednesday and Karaoke Game Night on the rooftop at Rosa's At Park on Thursday. If you'd rather laugh, Must Love Dogs and Comedy is at Boris & Horton on Friday with Korean K9 Rescue, and Holy Hand Grenade Comedy Night brings free stand-up to Barrow's Intense on Saturday.

The tentpole of the week is Paws on Parade at Bryant Park on Saturday, with the AKC Museum of the Dog. There are trick demos, working K-9s, and live music all afternoon, and a brass band leads the pup parade around the park at 15:45. Freddy's Dog Fashion Show is the same afternoon, with prizes, raffles, and adoptable dogs from Badass Animal Rescue.

If wellness is more your thing, Rescue Puppy Yoga at The Puppy Sphere runs three sessions on Saturday. Beyond that, there are group walks, a hill workout in Central Park, a foster training open house, an Oktoberfest block party in Hoboken, a book fair at Barrow's Intense, and Best in Show screening outdoors in Van Cortlandt Park.

There's a lot to choose from, but you already know whether yours is the runway type or the heckler.

The CBD Brand that Actually Does What It Says

CBD is having a moment and CBD brands are everywhere right now. But with so many options, it can be tough to know what to look for – and which brands actually follow through on their claims.

That’s where CBDistillery sets itself apart. For the past decade, all of CBDistillery's products have been made with non-GMO, US-grown industrial hemp and with 100% clean ingredients – no corn syrup or artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners.

They frequently introduce new and innovative products formulated to meet a variety of wellness needs and customer preferences. And every single batch of CBDistillery’s gummies, oil tinctures, topicals and softgels are tested by an independent, accredited lab to make sure what’s in the package matches what’s on the label.

Right now, CBDistillery is offering our readers a special deal: save 50% on orders of $75 or more with code NEWS50!
