Hey!

Halloween is months away — but the spirit world isn't waiting.

This week has not one but two pet psychic events, and whether you're hoping to hear from a long-lost loved one or finally find out what's going on inside your dog's head, this is your moment.

Not a believer? There are more down to earth options like a pearl bracelet-making class at Boris & Horton, dog crafts in Bryant Park, and a full slate of Pride and World Cup events still rolling through the city.

The spirit world, the art world, the soccer world, the 💅 world — your dog has access to all of it this week.

In this week’s email:

  • Downward Dog with Your Dog: 🐕 friendly yoga.

  • And Pose: What’s life without a little fashion?

  • Enjoy the View: Chic rooftop drinks where dog’s are encouraged.

Aura photography, tarot, palm readings, mediumship, crystal healing — and dog aura photography — inside Industry City's craft cocktail tasting room. Free to attend; individual readers set their own rates.

Wednesday June 10th

Dog Crafts @ Bryant Park Art Cart, on Wed, 10 Jun, 11:30–13:30

A community gathering for women in Astoria inside the dog café — collective group coaching, peer support, and the kind of room that's there to remind you of your own strengths. Free with RSVP.

PHA Summer Party @ Powerhouse Arts, on Wed, 10 Jun, 18:00

A high-end summer gala in Gowanus co-hosted by Badass Animal Rescue — specialty cocktails, F&F Pizzeria catering, and adoptable rescue dogs walking a Best in Show-inspired runway alongside curator-led previews of The Ark exhibition. Individual tickets $100; $50 tax-deductible.

Thursday June 11th

World PUP Kickoff @ Boris & Horton, on Thu, 11 Jun, 13:00–17:00

Lil Miss Pet Psychic Pop-Up @ Judy Z's, on Fri, 12 Jun, 16:00–19:00

Sip & Paint a Pet Portrait @ Barking Dog UES, on Fri, 12 Jun, 17:30–19:30

Saturday June 13th

The 2nd Annual Doggy Fashion Show in East Tremont — dogs hit the runway dressed to represent countries around the world in a World Cup-inspired community event. 360 photo booth, local vendors, giveaways, adoptable pups from Brixie's Rescue, and music; organized by Dogs of Mott Haven.

Muddy Paws Rescue Adoption Event @ Petco Union Square, on Sat, 13 Jun, 11:00–14:30

Rooftop Drinks @ Westlight, on Sat, 13 Jun, from 15:00

Mid-June weekends are some of the best of the year up here — panoramic Manhattan skyline views from both the Turf Club and lower covered deck, and dogs are genuinely welcome on both. Arrive by 15:00 for the best combination of space and light.

Brooklyn Heights' annual community dog show returns to Montague Open Streets — six competitive categories, a 15-dog limit per category, and proceeds benefiting Paws NY. Register your dog by noon on Wed, 10 Jun; non-competing dogs and spectators welcome on the day.

A Girls Walk Supporting Rescue City, on Sun, 14 Jun, TBC

Ask a Dog Expert

Ever wondered what your dog is actually trying to tell you — psychic or not?

This week feels like a good time to ask. We're building a section where Dog World readers get real answers from the people who actually know: vets, trainers, groomers, and more. No crystal ball required.

Hit reply and send it in.

Psychics, pearls, Pride, and the World Cup — your dog has a packed week. Get out there and see what the universe has to say.

And if something's been on your mind about your pup, hit reply and send it in. It might be the next question we take to an expert.

The World Cup. Pride. Free ice cream. Shakespeare in the park. Your dog has opinions — get out there and find out which side they're on.

And if the ice cream question is still nagging at you, hit reply. It might just be our next expert answer.
